Lead Trainer, Revenue Cycle and Management

Description:

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Patient Financial Services Strategic Implementation & Operations Controls, the candidate will have the following responsibilities:

Assesses and develops strategic plans for the development of training programs, consulting interventions and communication plans to address revenue cycle and/or management training and development needs.

Leads efforts for program implementation.

Assesses, develops and delivers training programs, learning material, workflow documentation and communication solutions across multiple lines of business supporting organizational/local strategic goals.

Consults with leaders to identify and address the learning needs in the organization.

May partner with management in the development and implementation of training/learning materials.

Leads communication programs that are accurate, consistent, and reflects business unit work flows and business processes for a business unit.

Establishes effective working relationships with peers, both internal and external.

In collaboration with management, ensures efficient, effective staff development through the delivery of consistent and appropriate training and communication techniques. Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Consults with leaders within the organization to assess, trend, and analyze the learning and communication needs of employees based on current and future strategic plans.

Develop, implement, and coordinate various training programs and training interventions.

May serve as a subject matter expert (SME) to provide mentorship and training to less senior staff.

Proactively identifies and implements improvements in training curriculum and communication using industry standards for testing methods, needs analysis, and redesign for communications, training programs and learning materials.

Provides feedback and deploys computer based training programs.

Stays abreast of learning, consulting, training and development research including new tools, methods, and techniques.

May support the staging and maintenance of training environments.

Top Daily Responsibilities:

Leads efforts for program implementation.

Requirements:

Knows and be able to teach Revenue Cycle principles and applications (eg scheduling, coding, billing, claims processing, payment posting, etc.)

Minimum three (3) years of work experience in Revenue Cycle OR Finance Operations

Demonstrable knowledge and application of adult learning principles.

Experience in developing both web-based curriculum and instructor-led training/technical writing scripts in a healthcare or related field.

Working knowledge of Adobe Captivate OR Articulate Storyline.

Electronic medical record system (EMR) experience required.

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Health Administration, or other related field.

Epic Systems software experience (Resolute Hospital and Professional Billing) and/or electronic medical record system (EMR) experience strongly preferred.

Advanced-level skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Experience working with a learning management system (LMS).

Experience developing and managing complex project plans.

Ability to conduct needs assessments, document processes, and the development of learning plans, course and module objectives.

Ability to assess the knowledge levels of staff to determine learning needs and implement strategies to meet those needs, including utilizing new methods of learning and specific tools.

Ability to develop assessment measures, including knowledge checks, course evaluations, quizzes and reports that are components of curriculum.

Initiate follow ups after instruction delivery to promote support and ensure end-user application.

Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.

Excellent Written and Oral Communication Skills.

Competence at all levels of the corporate hierarchy

Self-motivation in performing whatever necessary to deliver work products from start to finish.

Team player and willingness to carry team's weight.

Ability to work with difficult personality to address issues in a calm, productive, and professional fashion.

The person needs to closely collaborate with two other team members to assess training needs, develop training materials, and train a department with 350+ staff.

Strong classroom (Instructor Lead) Experience (10 years).

What I am really looking for is a self-motivated trainer who has experience with developing both web-based and instructor-led training in a healthcare field and has ability to understand and teach Revenue Cycle principles and applications (eg scheduling, coding, billing, claims processing, payment posting, etc.) to a large group of customer service and collector representatives.
