Maintenance Manager (Lisle, IL)
We are looking for a highly qualified and reliable Maintenance Manager to oversee the installation, maintenance and upkeep of all toll collection facilities and improve our business processes. The individual will be responsible for leading maintenance operations, overseeing the continuous improvement of the maintenance process and executing long-term strategic plans. A great maintenance manager will have a solid understanding of toll collection systems. They will be well versed in all maintenance processes and Health and Safety regulations. The ideal candidate will also have an aptitude in undertaking administrative tasks such as reporting, budgeting etc.
Essential Functions (fundamental, crucial job duties performed in a position. include how the person is to perform them including frequency of tasks)
Schedule, train, supervise and motivate employees in the maintenance department.
Develop Maintenance Procedures and implementing them.
Develop and implement a continual improvement plan for the maintenance staff and/or toll system.
Responsible for timely completion of periodic, preventative and emergency maintenance actions on lane/plaza level open road toll collection equipment and computer systems.
Carry out inspections of all toll facilities and their respective hardware to identify and resolve issues.
Establishes a professional relationship with the customer and interfaces constantly to maintain accurate status reports and project reviews.
Maintains customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, implementing corrective action and communication with customers and assigned staff.
Responsible for daily customer interface providing reports, estimates, forecasts and spares part status.
Responsible for preparation of labor, parts and cost estimates for any new maintenance effort.
Plans and analyzes assigned projects, establishes schedules and project parameters and sets procedures to accomplish system objectives.
Ensures compliance with internal contracting processes.
Responsible for maintaining the accuracy of the forecasted cost at completion.
Monitors and Controls expenses to achieve the assigned Maintenance budget.
Receives and qualifies subcontractor proposals; supervises work of project assigned staff, subcontractors and installers.
Manage relationships with contractors and service providers.
Ensures that quality standards are maintained for assigned projects.
Ensure the Health and Safety Policies are complied with.
Required Experience and Education
Prior toll systems maintenance or equivalent experience preferred.
Experience with 24/7 on-call service environment desired.
Financial budgeting, planning, administration, conflict resolution and negotiation experience are required.
Valid Driver's License with a clear recent driving history
Able to successfully pass client security measures including background check, drug screens and motor vehicle records search.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and/or equivalent experience with a minimum of (7-10) years of management of six (6+) or more persons in a Field Service Environment/Project
